Betting On The Cincinnati Bengals’ Next Home

The Cincinnati Bengals have resided in Southern Ohio since 1967, but now they’re potentially considering a move to a new venue. After 57 years in Cincinnati, a dispute with Paycor Stadium could cause the franchise to seek alternative cities.

On June 30, 2026, the Bengals’ current lease with Paycor Stadium lapses. If negotiations between the team and the stadium fail, the Bengals could play ball in another city by the beginning of the 2026 NFL season.

A sticking point in negotiations is the need for more modern accommodations that are in line with what other leading venues offer. Another issue is the cleanliness of the stadium. The stadium is operated by Hamilton County.

“We could, I guess, go wherever we wanted after this year if we didn’t pick the option up,”

Cincinnati Bengals Executive V.P. Katie Blackburn

Online NFL sportsbooks have taken notice of the situation in Ohio and have offered odds on where the Bengals could end up.

The city that leads the odds is St. Louis. Most recently, St. Louis has been home to the Los Angeles Rams, and before that, the Arizona Cardinals. The UFL’s Battlehawks have played there since 2020, and they have attracted some of the highest attendance numbers in the league.

The move to St. Louis makes sense from a geographic sense, and is only 350 miles away from Cincinnati.

Two Texas cities, Austin and San Antonio, are tied for second place. This gives gamblers a two-for-one bet, as a win will be graded if either city becomes the new home of the Bengals.

The San Antonio Brahmas of the UFL have experienced moderate success from hometown fans, but the city has never hosted a Super Bowl era franchise. The same can be said for Austin, but it is home to the Texas Longhorns.

Salt Lake City is rated the third most likely to win, and could make for an intriguing location should it happen. No pro football teams have called SLC home, but they do support the NBA’s Utah Jazz well.

Toronto, Mexico City, and London are three international destinations on the boards. The league has held games in all three cities and in London annually.
