This week, the rosters and coaching staff for all eight UFL teams reported for the beginning of training camp in preparation for the 2025 UFL season debut on March 28th.
This will be the second full season of the UFL following the merger of the USFL and XFL in late 2023.
Collective Bargaining Agreement Negotiations
Currently, the league’s player’s union is negotiating a collective bargaining agreement with the UFL. The union rejected a CBA offer from the league in February, which was followed up by a boycott of a quarterback camp in retaliation.
“The United Football League continues to negotiate in good faith with the players union to finalize a Collective Bargaining Agreement, which will be beneficial both to the players and the league.”

The league is currently running a two-day media event that began yesterday. When UFL brass caught wind of a potential media day boycott, league officials threatened to cut any players who didn’t show up.
“They told us that the league had gotten wind of union organization against the media days, and that if anyone acted on that, that they would be cut and considered to have acted with conduct detrimental [to the UFL].”

While the UFL aims to develop talent for the National Football League, it also needs to host a profitable and attractive product to American audiences. The league’s front office seems unwilling to budge on pay increases for the players, and they’re prepared to move on from any talent that doesn’t agree with the current salary structure.
Who Will Win The 2025 UFL Championship?
The latest futures for UFL betting suggest that the Birmingham Stallions will win their second championship in a row – and their fourth in a row if they include their two USFL Championships.

The St. Louis Battlehawks lost to the San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL Conference Championship Game last June, and they are rated as the second-most likely franchise to win it all in 2025.
A solid underdog pick for 2025 is the Michigan Panthers at +650. They went 7-3 in 2024 and lost to the Stallions in the USFL Conference Championships. Michigan appears poised for another solid effort this season.
The 2025 UFL Championship Game will take place on June 14th. The venue for the game has not been announced.
