2023 Preseason NFL Betting: Six Games On The Schedule For Tonight

The first week of the 2023 NFL preseason is now in full swing, with six contests on tap for tonight. Two preseason NFL games are being aired nationally on the NFL Network, while the others can be seen locally in markets where franchises are normally broadcast.

There is also an option to subscribe to NFL+ to see out-of-market preseason games.

Lines for NFL betting on all six preseason NFL games are active now at the online sportsbooks we recommend here.

Atlanta Falcons @ Miami Dolphins

  • Point Spread: Atlanta -2.0, Miami +2.0
  • Moneyline: Atlanta -130, Miami +110
  • Over/Under: 35.5
  • The game can be seen streaming with a subscription to NFL+

Beginning at 7:00 PM, the Dolphins will host the Falcons. Miami looks to present a very similar offensive package to last season. Tight end Mike Gesicki is now with the New England Patriots. Since Miami didn’t really move to replace Gesicki, they’re now going with a TE-by-committee approach.

Atlanta’s offense is now expected to be even more run focused than last season, injecting rookie running back Bijan Robinson into the mix. Second-year QB Desmond Ritter will get a chance to lead the Falcons this season and will hopefully develop a connection with phenom tight end Kyle Pitts.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • Point Spread: Pittsburgh -2.5, Tampa +2.5
  • Moneyline: Pittsburgh -150, Tampa +130
  • Over/Under: 39.0
  • The game can be seen streaming with a subscription to NFL+

At 7:00 PM, the Bucs and Steelers get it on in Raymond James Stadium. Baker Mayfield will get the start at quarterback for TB in what may be his last chance to be “the guy” for an NFL team. Second-year Buccaneers RB Rachaad White will look to build on last season’s effort.

Pittsburgh is now Kenny PIckett’s team, as he is now the starting QB going forth. The Steelers are favored to win by -2.5 tonight on the road at Tampa Bay.

Green Bay Packers @ Cincinnati Bengals

  • Point Spread: Green Bay -4.5, Cincinnati +4.5
  • Moneyline: Green Bay -210, Cincinnati +175
  • Over/Under: 35.0
  • The game can be seen live on the NFL Network

This is yet another game featuring a matchup of quarterbacks that have just attained the starting gig. The Packers’ Jordan Love is the main man in GB now that Aaron Rodgers has joined the Jets. Trevor Siemian of the Bengals is getting a look at QB because Joe Burrow has suffered a calf injury that will keep him out for weeks.

New York Giants @ Detroit Lions

  • Point Spread: New York -3.0, Detroit +3.0
  • Moneyline: New York -145, Detroit +125
  • Over/Under: 35.0
  • The game can be seen streaming with a subscription to NFL+

Odds for betting on the NFL Playoffs suggest that the Detroit Lions are the most likely team to win the NFC North Division. That’s a feat the Lions have never accomplished, but they appear poised to do so with their current lineup. The Giants are favored to win tonight by a field goal, perhaps due to NY possessing a deeper roster.

Washington Commanders @ Cleveland Browns

  • Point Spread: Washington +3.0, Cleveland -3.0
  • Moneyline: Washington +135, Cleveland -160
  • Over/Under: 38.5
  • The game can be seen streaming with a subscription to NFL+

The Commanders are under new ownership, and as we recently reported, they are considering changing their franchise name again after this season. DC looks to establish consistency under this new regime, and the first QB to get a crack will be Sam Howell, who is entering his second season.

The Browns are hopeful that their investment in Deshaun Watson pays dividends this season with a berth in the NFL Playoffs. The aforementioned injury to the Bengals’ Joe Burrow could give them a leg up in the AFC North standings early on.

Denver Broncos @ Arizona Cardinals

  • Point Spread: Denver -5.5, Arizona +5.5
  • Moneyline: Denver -210, Arizona +175
  • Over/Under: 37.5
  • The game can be seen live on the NFL Network

Closing out the night at 10:00 PM is the Broncos and Cardinals. ‘Zona is a heavy underdog as the team looks to rebuild on offense following the loss of WR DeAndre Hopkins, who is now a member of the Tennessee Titans.

The Broncos are eager to move on from last season and are optimistic that Russell Wilson can return to an All-Pro level of play.

Preseason NFL games that include teams that are normally aired in your local market will be broadcast on network television in your region and cannot be accessed by streaming on NFL+.
