At 27 years old and entering his seventh season as a professional football player, Cook is looking for a new team. He was cut from the Vikings in a salary cap move and now has several franchises interested in his services.

The current odds for betting on Super Bowl 58 place the Dolphins as the ninth overall AFC team, well outside of the playoffs. The Jets and Bills are among the top five AFC teams, so perhaps it is Miami that needs Cook the most after all.

Cook seems intrigued by the idea of playing with the Dolphins, citing Miami’s roster and offensive scheme as positives.
“[A]s a running back you look for a certain scheme and I know the scheme that I’m good in, and that’s outside zone, and that’s what the Miami Dolphins run. So it’s like, you know, it’d be a perfect fit. And the roster… speaks for itself.”
