Legal NFL Draft Betting Sites Post Odds For Rounds Two Through Seven

Early this morning, legal online NFL betting sites were baron of odds for second or third-round draft picks that could be selected this evening. That all changed around 10 AM when sportsbook sites began posting a flurry of 2023 NFL Draft odds taking action on a number of potential outcomes for tonight and tomorrow.

Coverage of rounds two and three begins at 7:00 PM tonight on ABC, ESPN, and the NFL Network. Rounds three through seven will begin tomorrow at 12:00 PM.

The team that holds the first pick of the second round is the Pittsburgh Steelers. The following set of NFL Draft betting odds suggests that it will be Penn State cornerback Joey Porter, Jr. that is added to the Steelers defense.

Odds For Steelers 1st Pick of 2nd Round

  • Joey Porter Jr. -250
  • Brian Branch +325
  • Cam Smith +500
  • BJ Ojulari +1000
  • Kelee Ringo +1000

Not only is Porter from a nearby school, but he’s also the son of former Steelers linebacker Joey Porter. His -250 moneyline odds of being selected by Pittsburgh convert to a 71% probability of success. Betting odds for the NFL Draft don’t often get more certain than that.

Brian Branch, a safety from the Alabama Crimson Tide, is the second-highest rated player in the odds to be selected by the Steelers as the first pick in the second round.

The following NFL Draft prop bet asks which quarterback will be selected first.

Levis vs. Hooker Draft Odds

  • Will Levis -370
  • Hendon Hooker +235

The odds posted at legal football betting sites feature Kentucky QB Will Levis with a commanding 405 point lead in the moneyline over Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker.

Levis has been largely considered the fourth rated quarterback coming into this year’s Draft. He was not expected to last into the second round, but now that he has, it wouldn’t be that big of a shock for a team that prefers Hendon Hooker to select him before Levis.

Hooker could be a tempting bargain for many teams. He’s coming off of a torn ACL suffered during the 2022-23 season and was unable to participate in this year’s combine. He is also a few years older than most rookies, coming into the league at 25.

Look for a team with an aged veteran at QB to take a chance on Hooker as a development player.

Stetson Bennett Odds For Draft Position

  • Not Drafted EVEN
  • 7th Round +300
  • 6th Round +350
  • 5th Round +500
  • 4th Round +1400
  • 3rd Round +4000
  • 2nd Round +6000

The University of Georgia was led to back-to-back NCAA Football National Championships by starting QB Stetson Bennett. Current NFL odds imply that Bennett will not be drafted at all.

Bennett is used to being underestimated. He was initially a walk on at Georgia that transferred to junior college for a season before returning as a scholarship player for the Bulldogs. Stetson climbed the depth chart and won two CFP Championships, but now must prove to the league that NFL scouts are wrong.
